Simply Sassy Sunday!

Hi everyone, hope you're enjoying your weekend! Today I'm showing you not one but two Sassy cards with my last set 7 stamps, as later we are starting sneek peaks for the new set, which will be released next week :D!

I've enjoyed working with these Steampunk Sassy girls, it's taken me out of my comfort zone and into a somewhat different style of card, and that's never a bad thing is it ;o). For my first card I've used Guinevere, I've kept things quite simple and to give it a vintagey feel I've distressed the edges of the design papers and added some flourishes.

For my second card I've used Boho Chic and an old sketch from Friday Sketchers, which is still one of my faves. Hope you likey!

Materials used:

Stamps: Simply Sassy stamp "Guinevere"; Simply Sassy stamp "Boho Chic"; Stempelglede background stamp; sentiment stamps from My Favorite Things
Paper: Bazzill Basics cardstock green, purple, kraft; Maja Design design paper
Embellishments: charm; string; Queen & Co pearls; Papertrey Ink ribbon
Tools: QuicKutz antique flourishes, accolade; EK Success retro flower punches; My Favorite Things doily; Heidi Swapp distress tool
Copics: E00, E51, E93, E21; V95, V93, V91; E44, E43, E42, E41; YG63

That's all from me today, have a lovely Sunday and don't forget to check back tomorrow as I have a surprise for you...!

Simply Sassy...eh...Monday ;o)

I'm such a dummy, completely forgot to post my Simply Sassy Sunday card yesterday...ah well, it's also good today ;o).

I absolutely adore this stamp, isn't Krista clever to think something like this up! She's way cool, just like Amelia used to be I reckon... (I mean the stamp, although obviously Krista is one cool chickie too! ;o)).

I've tried to go a little vintage with this, and with the acetate base card it seems the design paper is hovering in mid-air, which is kind of cool :D. I also used a really old stamp set which, in my opinion, counts as vintage ;o).

The materials I used are:

Stamps: Simply Sassy stamp "Amelia"; PaperSalon stamp set; My Favorite Things sentiment; Stempelglede background stamp
Paper: Maja Design "Fika" paper
Embellishments: Zva Creative pearl swirls; spacers; brad
Tools: My Favorite Things Die-namics Upsy-Daisy flowers, leaves

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

Simply Sassy Sunday

It seems all I do these days is bring you my Sassy cards once a week doesn't it...and although that's fun, I'm working on a new blog where I'll be showing you other things again too, watch this space!

I found this superduper enlarged Magnolia label HERE (for those of you who can't read Dutch, you want the PDF on the right ;o)). It's a free download and just so much fun to use, I hope you'll give it a go!

Doesn't this little darlin' look sad? I reckon she has spent all her pocket money on sweeties and now she has a stomach ache ;o)

Anyway, listen to me waffling on again, here's the materials I used:

Stamps: Simply Sassy stamp "Missing You"; My Favorite Things sentiment
Paper: Bazzill Basics cardstock white; Maja Design "Life in the Country"
Embellishments: Kars pearls; We R Memory Keepers eyelet; string
Tools: My Favorite Things label and star dies; EK Success Retro Flower punches; We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile

That's all from me for today, hope you have a lovely Sunday, see you again soon!

Lots of fun though, it's never a problem to be in a room full of women (seriously, not a single man!) who share the same passion and who are committed to making the project you've put together for them :D

Anyway, I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd never heard of steampunk right? Right? I had to google it first when I heard that the current fantabulous Simply Sassy set is the "Steampunk Collection" ;o) I hope I've done this little lady justice, to me this is vintage and that was the idea...

Paper: Bazzill Basics cardstock vanilla, brown; Maja Design design paper

E00, E51, E93, E21 (skin, cheeks, lips);

Simply Sassy Sunday!

Hi everyone, it's Sunday again so time for a little Sassy inspiration from moi :D! The card I have to show you today could have been made for any one of half a dozen of my friends, who all live much too far away for my liking! But as I chose to live "up north" I guess I only have myself to blame ;o).

Isn't that green I used just awful? It seemed to match the papers but when I was done colouring it didn't match anything...ah well, better luck next time eh ;o)

Anyway, I liked this layout so much I made a sketch to share, please feel free to use it for your own cards!

Materials I used:
Stamps:
Simply Sassy "Call Me"; Stempelglede stamp, sentiment stamp unknown
Papers: Bazzill Basics cardstock; Maja Design design paper
Embellishments: BoBunny flowers, button, brads; Karen Foster scrapper's floss; Queen&Co pearls
Tools: Martha Stewart leaf punch

Some Sassy Cards and Blog Hop Winner :D

Hello all, I've been a bit remiss in posting, have had a busy few weeks but hopefully the worst of that is over now and I can relax again :D. I did find time to play with my Sassy stamps for the Simply Sassy Inspiration Blog and this is what I came up with:

Isn't she pretty, sitting there waiting for spring to arrive? She longs to chase butterflies, pick flowers and feel the sun on her face again after a long winter! This pattern is from SplitCoastStampers, at least that's where I found it. Really easy to make and it looks so complicated!

Materials used:

Stamps: Simply Sassy "Hippie Chick"; sentiment by Papertrey Ink
Paper: Bazzill Basics cardstock white, kraft; Paper & Pictures "The First Collection" DP Embellishments: Kars adhesive pearls
Tools: MFT Die-namics flower trio, doily and butterflies; Martha Stewart leaf punch
Copics:
E00, E51, E93, E21 (skin, cheeks, lips)
E44, E43, E42, E41 (hair, shoe)
BG0000, BG01 (clothes, flowers, headband, legwarmers, eyes)

You know how you get started on a project and you're having so much fun and it just saddens you when you finish it? I had that with these notebooks, which were designed by my friend Monique for our challenge blog a while ago. They are so easy to make and so fun to give away! I'm giving one to a colleague, who was browsing through my blog, stumbled upon an earlier version I'd made and wanted one too...after weeks of her dropping not-so-subtle hints I've finally decided to give in, and here they are (be warned: picture overload *lol*):

Now this cutie pie has to be teacher's pet doesn't she, I'm surprised she's not carrying a shiny new apple for the teacher...although it might be in her lunch pail ;o). I love this Sassy for her big glasses, hair which is a dream to colour (I have hair colouring problems sometimes, but not with this one :D!) and her funky legwarmers. And don't even get me started on those shoes, Krista has done it again! They look like the kind that tone your legs and other bits when you walk don't they, what are they called again?

Materials I used:
Stamps:
Simply Sassy "High School Student"; sentiments by Papertrey Ink and Kaisercraft Paper: Elzybells kraft cardstock; My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose: Hazel Collection Embellishments: Zva Creative swirls and pearls
Tools: Stampin' Up! punch; MFT Die-namics
Copics: E00, E51, E93, E21 (skin, cheeks, lips)
Y28, E53, E50 (hair)
E44, E43, E42, E41 (dress, shoes, books, glasses, hearts)
BG10, BG11 (eyes, hairclip, tunic, legwarmers, lunchpail)

If you want to make this notebook cover yourself, the description (in Dutch and English) can be found HERE. This cover holds an A6 notepad and can be easily adapted for the Post-It notes.

And now for the blog hop winner, thank you all so much for joining in with the hop, hope you had a great time and were inspired to get your Sassy stamps out and have a play!

The winner of the surprise prize, which includes a Simply Sassy stamp, is...

Annelies

That's all I have for your today, thank you for stopping by and see you soon!

Simply Sassy Blog Hop!

Welcome to a new fun blog hop with Simply Sassy by Sugar Nellie! If you've come here from the fabulous Autumn's blog you're on the right track! If you're lost or just starting the hop, please go to the Simply Sassy Inspiration Blog and start hopping from there :D!

Today and for the next two days the fabby Simply Sassy DT is hosting a blog hop with the older Simply Sassy stamps, which are all just too fabulous for words :D! I know I'm biased but they really are cuter than cute! For my blog hop post I've chosen to use Bella Bunting, an adorable Sassy who can't wait for her party to start and is helping mum decorate the living room (and her own bedroom as well...and the kitchen, hallway and anything else that stands still long enough for her to put on some bunting! ;o)).

You can get all your Sassy stamps (and other Sugar Nellie cuties) from

I love using circles on my cards, so I've used two on this one, with lots of flowers and pearls and an adorable butterfly to cover up a tiny glitch...but hey, why am I telling you, you can't even see it! ;o) This My Mind's Eye paper is one of my faves, it even comes with a sheet of journaling tags which showcases the sentiment perfectly.

Now, I believe most of the DT ladies, if not all, are giving away a little hop candy so be sure to stop by every one of the DT members and leave a comment on their blog hop post. I have a little something up my sleeve as well, a cute stamp and a little extra...to be in with a chance to win just leave me a comment and I'll announce the winner on 4 April!

Materials used:

Stamps: Simply Sassy Bella Bunting; Papertrey Ink sentiment
Paper: Elzybells kraft cardstock; My Mind's Eye design paper "So Sophie" Embellishments: Kars adhesive pearls
Tools: MFT Die-namics butterfly; EK Success Retro Flower punches
Copics:
E00, E51, E93, E21 (skin, cheeks)
Y28, E53, E50 (hair)
BG11, BG13 (dress, shoes, bunting)
YG95 (eyes, legwarmers, top, belt, bow, bunting)

Right, that's enough chatter from me, I will send you on your way to to the lovely Maria now, don't forget to leave a comment :D!

Simply Sassy Sunday!

Hi all, here I am again with some Sunday inspiration on this gorgeous sunny day (well, it is over here :D). Don't the weeks just fly by? I know I've said this before but it seems like five seconds ago since I was last here with my Sassy creation! These are about all I have time for right now, as I'm working on some cards for publication. It's always a joy to make a Sassy card though :D.
This little cutie patootie, who we'll call Patsy I think ;o), is on her way to the hair salon for some more highlights and then she's going to do some serious shopping! Looking this fabulous takes lots of pampering, time and any number of credit cards, don't you know ;o). How simply fabulous are those shoes she's wearing? I tell you, if Krista ever gets tired of designing the Sassy girls (which I hope she won't, obviously ;o)) she could easily go into shoe design and make a fortune!

Materials used:
Stamps:
Simply Sassy "Fabulous Darling"; sentiment from Papertrey Ink
Paper: Bazzill Basics cardstock aqua, red; Prima Marketing design paper "Madeline"
Embellishments: Papertrey Ink ribbon; Kars adhesive pearls; brads
Tools: Corner rounder punch; MFT Die-namics flowers
Copics:
E00, E51, E93, E21 (skin, cheeks, lips)
R39, R37, R35 (skirt, charm, shoes, bow, earrings)
E42, E41 (compact, legwarmers, blouse)

Well, that's all she wrote for this week, I'm off to enjoy some much-needed sunshine! Hope you're having a great Sunday too and that you've been inspired!

Hugs,
Erica
