Cards galore!

Despite the gorgeous weather we're having over here at the moment, I've managed to make a respectable number of cards over the last two weekends :D. Also despite a raging cold, but it's amazing how quickly an envelope full of new stamps can make you feel better :D! My stories are all about siblings today, don't know why, maybe because both my sister and brother have birthdays coming up real soon ;o)

Now, do you remember the Happy Days series? With Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli? This is his grandson, Danny "The Dude" Deluca. His grandfather is his biggest hero, and he can listen to him for hours telling stories about the old days, when gramps was the most popular guy in town with a pretty girl on each arm and admirers a-plenty. Danny wants to be just like his granddad when he grows up, so he practises his tough guy walk every day and only wears the coolest outfits. He's already decided on a nickname, but so far none of his family or friends are willing to call him that, and another thing: he actually thinks girls are stupid...but that can all change in a heartbeat can't it ;o)

And this is Danny's little sister, Heather. She doesn't understand why Danny is acting like a tough guy all of a sudden, and won't play tag and hide-and-seek with her anymore, or go tree-climbing like they used to. Poor Heather fell out of the tree she'd just climbed when Danny shook it because he was annoyed with her following him around all the time, and she ended up with a broken arm and a concussion. However, every cloud has a silver lining ;o), and now Danny plays with her again, out of guilt. Only, she can't do very much with just the one arm and a sore head, so they just play with Heather's dolls and barbies...she's had to promise Danny she wouldn't tell anyone about this, ever, because then surely no-one would ever call him "Danny The Dude" ;o)

Remember Hippie Hannah? This is her sister, Wannabe Hippie Wanda :D. Wanda lives in the big city, where life is getting more expensive by the second and she can't even afford the latest designer handbags anymore! She's a little jealous of Hannah's happy go lucky lifestyle in her little cottage in Nowhereville, without a care for the latest fashions or who's hot and who's not ;o). That's the life she wants too, so she's now staying with Hannah for a trial run, just to see how she likes it. Well, she doesn't...first of all, there's no electricity, that's why she has her hair in (yikes!) braids, there's no running water for a nice hot bath and so on and so forth. She's decided she's going to get a second job when she gets back, because she can't live like this, it's not civilised!

Meet Frightened Fenella, whose sister Louise was supposed to watch her last night because their parents had gone to the cinema. Louise had made plans with her friends, so she was really bummed to have to spend the night with her annoying little sister. Fenella was acting up and didn't want to go to bed, so Louise let her stay up and watch TV with her. To frighten her little sister, Louise put on Nightmare on Elm Street, which Fenella watched from behind the couch cushion ;o). Both sisters went to bed after the movie, but Fenella thought the monster was hiding under hers, so she snuck downstairs and now she's waiting on the kitchen bench for her parents to come home...next time she'll go to bed when she's told ;o)

That's it for now, I'll add another card to this lot tomorrow, it just needs some finishing touches, so stay tuned!

groetjes!
